We have brand new photos of the BMW i5 testing on public roads! Compared with previous prototypes we can see this one has its production headlights!
The DRL's and indicators follow the design of other new BMW models. But no split headlights.
Inside we can see the bigger infotainment screen with the iDrive8 system.
It's hard to see the overall design due to the camouflage but it's clear the i5 is aiming for a more sedan look compared to the coupe look Mercedes is going with for the EQE.
We can also see what looks like a shark nose and that the kidneys will stay in a normal sizes. Giving it an aggressive look.
There's going to be a Touring version of the 5 Series coming at a later date but it's not clear if it will be available on the i5.
The new i5 and 5 Series is set for a release in 2023 as a 2024 model.
